Course Overview

The BAMS program spans 5.5 years, including a 1-year internship. Students learn Ayurvedic medicine, clinical practices, Panchakarma therapies, and modern medical sciences. This degree enables students to become licensed Ayurvedic doctors in India.

Eligibility Criteria

  • 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (50% for General, 40% for SC/ST/OBC)
  • Minimum age: 17 years
  • Must qualify NEET-UG entrance exam
  • Admission through counseling process

Padartha Vigyan, Rachana Sharir, Kriya Sharir

Ayurvedic Para-Clinical

Dravyaguna, Rasashastra, Agad Tantra, Bhaishajya Kalpana

Ayurvedic Clinical

Kayachikitsa, Shalya Tantra, Shalakya Tantra, Prasuti & Stri Roga

Internship (1 Year)

Students undergo a 1-year internship across Ayurvedic hospitals and clinical departments, gaining practical experience in treatment, diagnosis, and patient management.

  • Shalya Tantra (Surgery)
  • Shalakya Tantra (ENT & Ophthalmology)
  • Prasuti & Stri Roga (Obstetrics & Gynecology)
  • Panchakarma Therapy

Course Criteria

Attendance

Minimum 75% attendance is mandatory in theory and practical classes to be eligible for exams.

Examinations

Internal assessments and university exams are conducted at each stage. Passing all subjects is mandatory before progressing.
